We will be featuring November's SOTM, which is "Cherish the Day S1111", a set of 44 stamps.

If you have come here from C
asandra Bennett's blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. If you get lost along the way, you'll find the complete list of participating consultants HERE.

This month we have 57 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!
Here we go!
My wonderful sister's birthday is on December 12th so I decided to make her a birthday card, where I can safely put a gift card and have a little piece of my creation go with on her purse, jacket or hair. I folded the tab on the card towards the inside, glued down the sides to form a pocket for the gift card.
I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge for the flower, by cutting out four flowers at 2", 2 1/2", 3" and 3 1/2". Stamped the December image on the flowers with Versa Mark and embossed them with gold embossing powder.
Supplies:
S1111 Cherish the Day stamp set
D1497 Stamp set
Z1349 Shimmer Designer Brads
Z1474 Kraft Die-Cut Cards & Envelopes
Z1617 Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
X7139B Typeset Level 2 Paper Packet
Z891 Versa Mark
Z668 Gold Embossing Powder

Now "Hop" on over to Karen Fullam's blog to see her work!
Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the November Stamp of the Month is only available until November 30th 2011.

Liebster Blog Award!

This week I was nominated not once but twice for the Liebster Award by two wonderful women Nikka Geers from Create Your Vision and Paula from Paula's Place. Liebster is a German word that means beloved or favorite. This award is only for blogs with fewer than 200 followers, so up-and-coming bloggers are recognized for their creative works!

Here are the rules to accept this award:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award and rules on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
5. And most of all - have fun!

Now for my 5 picks:
1. Heather Plotzke
One word: Amazing
2. Dawn Heuft
One word: Enlightening
3. Yorline Warren
One word: Honest
4. Sandra Gomes
One word: Passionate
5. Lisa Stenz
One word: Kind
So... I don't know how many blog followers Dawn and Lisa have because they don't have the widget on their blog. I'm sure they are way way past the 200 mark, but I just could NOT include them in this award.

Close To My Heart: Mischief Layouts

Here is the last set of the Mischief layouts from this month's workshop. This layout has a black background and many options for pictures and title sizes. For the ladies who purchase my kits, one recommendation I have is to add some sparkle to the candelabras, I think that will be an extra little detail that will sure make it not only beautiful but gorgeous!

There is plenty areas for journaling, phrases and titles. I hope you explore your creativity and add your signature to this layout.

Don't forget to enter my Art Philosophy drawing and simply click on the link below to purchase the items to make these cool layouts.

When you purchase from my website the supplies needed for this kit, I will be happy to send you the cutting patterns via email.

Close To My Heart: Mischief Layouts

For this month's workshop, we worked with the Mischief Paper Packet and coordinating embellishments. I particularly like these layouts because they are NOT too Halloween driven, but with the right titles they can be for other occasions.

But first... I want to share with you that I have a little, tiny, itty bitty chihuahua named Mia, who follows me everywhere. Seriously! she practically goes everywhere with me in my Convention bag. She even showed up as a guest at Paper Tales Blog! LOL! So please look all the way to the end of the post to take a peek at little Mz. Mia.

Don't forget to click on the Products tab at the bottom to purchase the items to make this adorable layout.
Seriously!
She follows me everywhere, I had to put her in the house and close the door to take pictures of these layouts, because she had to be on my lap, on top of what I am working or in my purse. I don't know what I would do without her though...
I do love her!

Close To My Heart Spotlight Blog Hop: Reinkers

This month we are featuring reinkers for the Close To My Heart Spotlight Blog Hop. If you are coming from Luisa Morgan'sblog, you are in the right track. If you are hoping from another blog, don't worry, this is a full circle hop, so just keep on hoping and you will do a full circle.

So for this month, I decided to combine two things together. First the LeaderShare swap cards and my Blog Hop item. I'm getting a head start on the Holidays, by making some gift card envelopes. Hope you like them!

I used the reinkers in "Sky" and water with the CTMH spray pens, to spray the white circle in the background.
Supplies:
X7145B Believe Paper Packet
White Daisy Ribbon
Cranberry Brads
Art Philosophy Cartridge
D1494 Christmas Cheer Stamp set
A1115 A Holiday Stamp Set

Z1380 Spray pen
Z2294 Sky Reinker

Now it's time to hop on over to Mary K Parker's Blog and be inspired by creative ways to use your reinkers.

CTMH Necklace & Bracelet

This jewelry set is the second item that will be donated to the silent auction at this weekends LeaderShare. I always think about the type of person who will wear a particular item that I make. The last set was more shabby chic, with the vintage sparkles and pewter base. This girl, is more earthy, grounded and spirited.

The leather cording was easy to find at Home Depot. Just ask for leather strips or leather shoe lases. I looked at the ones at Walmart and Michael's and the leather there was very thin and over worked. This raw leather gives it a more earthy look & feeling.

Supplies:

Z1633 Harvest Charms Embellishments

Antique Copper lobster claw findings

Antique Copper split ring

I can't wait to see who buys this set!

DIY: CTMH Earrings

I've been working this week on making some items to donate at this weekend's CTMH Leader Share in Mission Valley. The items I made will be donated to the silent auction, benefiting Operation Smile. So instead of going the traditional way and making paper projects, I experimented with the Close To My Heart's embellishments to create jewelry.

Here are two pairs of earring that I made using the Designer Brads (Z1360) and the Heirloom Assortment (Z1635). They come in a gold color and a greyish color with a hint of lavender. As you may remember, this is my beautiful daughter modeling the earrings.

Stay tuned for the other set of accessories I made for the silent auction.

Hello Everyone!Link
Today, I woke up early to work on my Studio J 5 pack that Close To My Heart gifted all the consultants that will be attending this year's Leader Share in San Diego, California.

If you want to take a gander at Studio J, I invite you to click on the link to the right of my blog and start discovering the great possibilities with digital scrapbooking. It was great to be with the kids and travel around the house with my laptop and create these adorable layouts.

Close To My Heart Roxie Layouts

Hi There,
Here is the last of the three layout sets I created for last weeks Roxie Kit workshop. If you ordered your kit to be shipped, they are boxed up and my mail carrier will pick up tomorrow. I am eager to see what you think.

Every time I see this layout, it makes me think of the movie "Alice in Wonderland", the one with Johnny Depp. It must be the roses and the muted colors that inspire the theme.

For this Layout, the roses were not hand made, even though I do prefer "My" roses, I wanted to give the new Art Philosophy cartridge a whirl on the roses. They were very simple to assemble and I just had to really, really roll the petals for them to lay flatter that usual, since I cannot trim the base of these roses to make them less 3D. Overall I am very happy with this layout and I am thinking of having my husband take some pictures of my Victoria and I at Balboa park this coming spring when the Rose garden is in full bloom, especially for this layout.

Because these roses look so beautiful with the Sparkle button in the middle of them, my plan is to order another set of the Sparkle Buttons (Bling Assortment Z1466) and add them to the centers of the roses and a few more on the swirls on the paper.

Close To My Heart Roxie Layouts

This is the second set of layouts from the Roxie workshop this month. I was pretty amazed that I found these pictures the day of the workshop and added them that morning. The hearts match the pictures pretty good. Love it! The red scallop circle is attached with 3D tape/squares and then the pins are inserted on through the foam tape.

Same thing for this little heart, I added it to the layouts with 3D tape and inserted the pins on the 3D tape.

My husband was NOT too fond of me using this picture of him on this layout but it was just perfect for it. Plus he looks so happy there.... hee-hee!
